Our Managing Director Steven Bates has over 20 years experience in the financial services and property sectors.  Steven is a leading authority on the North East property market and is frequently asked for his professional opinion by the media and hundreds of our long standing clients across the United Kingdom on the subjects of property, finance and business.  


Our Operations Director Babs Peters joined the business in a consultancy capacity in 2011 before her position became permanent in 2012.  Babs is a Landlord herself and has a wealth of experience in the property industry.  Prior to working at Giraffe HQ Babs spent several years in the money management and collection business which gives her a unique insight into how best to approach each tenancy and how to solve problems when they arise.


Victoria Murray joined the business in 2014 as an Apprentice and has quickly established herself as an important member of our team, now in the role of Sales and Lettings Negotiator assisting our clients with Property Sourcing, Tenant Finding and Sales Process.  Victoria is professional, pro active and efficient with IT and emails which helps ensure that any lead or enquiry is followed up quickly.


Christine Newton joined our team in 2019 as a Senior Lettings Officer with over 25 years experience in the business, bringing her in-depth knowledge and expertise to Giraffe HQ. Christine is efficient and hardworking in her approach to ensure both Landlords and Tenants are provided with the best quality service.


Laura Robertson joined the team in 2018 as an Apprentice and is now in the role of Business Support Officer, assisting all aspects of the business. Laura is pro active and efficient with emails to ensure all repairs are dealt with promptly for our clients, assisting with the Property Management alongside Christine which is why this service is trusted by hundreds of Landlords across the UK and further afield who own property in the North East.


Roxy Draper, PA to Managing Director, worked with Steven in a previous role and was head hunted in 2015 to spearhead our Property Management function.  Roxy is articulate, organised and compassionate in her approach and now takes a lead on the Accounts to ensure our Landlords and Tradespeople are paid promptly each month.


Freya Elias is our Finance Director responsible for overseeing the handling of all our clients money.  Freya is a management graduate with over 20 years management and finance experience and is thoroughly committed to the principle of treating our clients fairly and paying people promptly. Freya also oversees sending our Landlords their end of year statements which make the process of submitting your Tax return a little easier!
